XI CONGRESO LATINOAMERICANO DE HERPETOLOGÍA

Estimados Amigos,

El Museo de Zoología QCAZ de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador tiene el gusto de invitar a toda la comunidad científica interesada en la investigación y conservación de los anfibios y reptiles al XI Congreso Latinoamericano de Herpetología. Este evento se llevará a cabo entre el 24 y el 28 de julio de 2017 en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador.

Durante cinco días, el congreso reunirá estudiantes, profesionales, profesores, investigadores, y entusiastas en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, una de las universidades más reconocidas del país, ubicada en la emblemática ciudad de Quito, Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad.

Ecuador, con más de 1000 especies de anfibios y reptiles, será la sede de este importante congreso, un espacio destinado exclusivamente a la Herpetología. Compartiremos los avances en el conocimiento de la biodiversidad, evolución, ecología, conservación, y biología general de los anfibios y reptiles neotropicales.

El XI CLH contará con un amplio programa científico que incluirá conferencias magistrales de científicos expertos, simposios, presentaciones orales, posters, eventos sociales y viajes de campo para conocer la herpetofauna y riqueza natural del país antes o después del congreso. El XI CLH será una oportunidad para el intercambio de ideas y el establecimiento de colaboraciones académicas de investigación.

Desde ya les invitamos a separar espacio en sus agendas para participar en este gran evento. Su presencia será un valioso aporte al crecimiento y fortalecimiento de la Herpetología en América Latina.

XI Latin American Congress of Herpetology

The Museo de Zoología QCAZ at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador is pleased to invite the scientific community interested on the research and conservation of amphibians and reptiles to the XI Latin American Congress of Herpetology. This event will take place between July 24-28, 2017 in the city of Quito, Ecuador.

For five days, this congress will gather students, professionals, professors, researchers, and enthusiasts at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, one of the most prestigious universities of the country, located in the emblematic city of Quito, World Cultural Heritage Centre.

With more than 1,000 species of amphibians and reptiles, Ecuador will host this important meeting exclusively dedicated to herpetology. We will share the advances in the knowledge of biodiversity, evolution, ecology, conservation, and general biology of Neotropical amphibians and reptiles.

The XI CLH will cover a broad scientific program including plenary conferences, symposia, oral presentations, social events, and field trips to get to know the herpetofauna and natural wealth of the country before and after the congress.

The XI CLH will be an opportunity to share ideas and establish academic research collaborations.
