Carmine is a city in Fayette County, Texas, United States. The population was 250 at the 2010 census.The Texas Basketball Museum in Carmine is operated by Coach Bob Springer at the corner of Augsburg Avenue and Hauptstrasse Street. It is bordered to the northeast by Washington County. U.S. Route 290, a four-lane divided highway, passes through the center of Carmine, leading east to Brenham and west to Giddings.
