1. Aceptación de los Términos
Bienvenido al perfil de Facebook del Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Guayaquil, Ecuador. El Departamento de Estado de EE.UU. provee a usted este servicio, que está sujeto a los “Términos de Uso” que encontrará a continuación y que serán actualizados con regularidad. 2. Propósito
El Gobierno de los Estados Unidos y las diferentes agencias que lo conforman llevan a cabo una serie de programas de asistencia y servicios para el público ecuatoriano por medio de su Consulado General en Guayaquil y su Embajada en Quito.
El propósito del perfil del Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Guayaquil en Facebook es proveer una plataforma interactiva a través de la cual nuestros fans puedan comunicar sus ideas y entrar en contacto con el Consulado.

3. Descripción del Servicio
El perfil de Facebook del Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Guayaquil opera a través de la plataforma de Facebook. Esta provee a sus miembros una variedad de herramientas que incluyen, pero no se limitan a: videos, fotos, enlaces electrónicos, foros de discusión, mensajes y notificaciones desarrolladas por la Embajada de Estados Unidos y relacionadas con sus eventos y actividades. El del Consulado General de Estados Unidos se reserva el derecho de modificar las herramientas que ofrece a sus fans en cualquier momento y sin previa notificación.

4. Política de Privacidad

La información que Facebook Recoge
Cuando usted visita Facebook provee dos tipos de información a la plataforma: Información personal, que usted decide publicar al abrir su perfil, e información proveniente de su uso e interacción con la misma.
Cuando usted se registra en Facebook usted provee información como su nombre, correo electrónico, número de teléfono, dirección y género entre otras. La embajada de Estados Unidos en Quito no archiva esta información o ninguna otra que esté almacenada en su perfil de Facebook.
El contenido que usted comparte a través de Facebook (tal y como está definido en los Términos de Uso de Facebook) en su perfil, está administrado bajo su propio riesgo. Para ello Facebook le permite a sus usuarios hacer uso de opciones de seguridad que limitan el acceso a su perfil; sin embargo, debe conocer que no hay medidas de seguridad perfecta o impenetrable. El Consulado General de Estados Unidos no controla las acciones de terceros, usuarios con quienes usted comparta su perfil e información personal. Por ello no garantizamos que el contenido que usted comparta a través de Facebook no sea visto por personas no autorizadas.

5. Seguridad
La participación en el perfil de Facebook del Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Guayaquil es de carácter voluntario. Usted es responsable de mantener su confidencialidad de ingreso a la plataforma y de igual manera asume responsabilidad por las actividades que se hagan usando su perfil personal. Usted acepta notificar mediante el perfil de Facebook del Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Guayaquil, el uso no autorizado de su información o cualquier otro riesgo de seguridad. • publicar, enviar por correo electrónico o poner a disposición cualquier material que contenga virus informáticos o cualquier otro código de programación, archivos o programas diseñados para interrumpir, destruir o limitar la funcionalidad de computadores, software, hardware o equipos de telecomunicaciones;
• interrumpir el flujo normal del diálogo o actuar de manera que afecte negativamente la habilidad de otros usuarios para vincularse e intercambiar información. Esto también se refiere a información general sin sentido,” que incluye pero no se limita a comentarios, información, links a contenido externo que no esté relacionado al intercambio de información, diálogo, o naturaleza de los objetivos de la página de Facebook del Consulado General de Estados Unidos o del Departamento de Estado;
• interferir o interrumpir el sitio o los servidores o redes conectadas al sitio, o desobedecer cualquier requisito, procedimiento o política de regulación de las redes conectadas al sitio;
• de forma no intencional o intencional, violar o incumplir cualquier ley local, estatal, nacional y/o internacional;
• asechar o acosar a otro;
• recolectar o guardar datos personales de otros usuarios.

The purpose of U.S. Consulate General Guayaquil’s Facebook Page is to serve as a resource. The Consulate is dedicated to strengthening ties between the United States and Ecuador, and technology allows us to do so like never before. This Facebook page is open to anyone interested in the United States.

3. Description of service
U.S. Consulate General Guayaquil’s Facebook Page operates on the Facebook platform. It provides its fans with a variety of features, including but not limited to: video and photo sharing, access to a community blog, discussion forum, messaging, chat, and notifications of developments on the activities of the U.S. Consulate General in Quito. The U.S. Department of State reserves the right to alter the types of features that U.S. Consulate General Guayaquil’s Facebook Page provides at any time with no notice to network members.

4. Facebook's Privacy Policy
By using or accessing Facebook, and this site, you are accepting the practices described in the Facebook Privacy Policy. 6. Member Conduct

• intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law;
• stalk or otherwise harass another; or
• collect or store personal data about other users.
You acknowledge that the U.S. Department of State does not pre-screen all Content, but that the U.S. Department of State and its designees shall have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to edit, delete, refuse or move any Content that is available via the site. You acknowledge and agree that the State Department of the United States monitors the violations of these Terms of Use, as described in this section. This monitoring is intended to establish trends in repeat offenses to these Terms of Use, and to ensure that the community remains an open forum for dialogue.You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the site, including your Content, may involve: (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. 7. Special Admonitions for International Use
Recognizing the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable Content. Specifically, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside.

8. Content Submitted or Made Available for Inclusion on the Site
The U.S. Department of State does not claim ownership of Content you submit or make available for inclusion on the site. The Department only claims ownership over self-generated content created by the Department of State for inclusion on this site. It does not take responsibility for the inclusion of third party links or other third party content such as articles.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the U.S. Department of State, and its affiliates, officers, agents, grantees or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post, transmit or make available through the site, your use of the site, your connection to the site, your violation of the TOU, or your violation of any rights of another.

10. No Resale of Service
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the site, use of the site, or access to the site.

11. General Practices Regarding Use and Storage
You acknowledge that the U.S. Department of State may establish general practices and limits concerning use of the site, including without limitation the maximum number of days that message board postings or other uploaded Content will be retained by the site, and the maximum number of times (and the maximum duration for which) you may access the site in a given period of time.
