Highland View Galapagos

We are a touristic farm located in the highlands of santa cruz island. From out property you can take in the beautiful panorama of southern santa cruz island. looking out over the protected national park you can see all the way from puerto ayora to garrapatero beach and beyond to santa fe island. on a really clear day you can even see san cristobal island. on our property is an extinct volcano that you can take a tour of. on the tour you will get to feed farm animals and see whale bones and giant turtle shells. you will also walk through a 40m lava tunnel and get to see the endemic speices of white-checked pintail. After this you wil be able to refresh yourselves with a cup of traditionally pressed raw sugar cane juice Theres also a couple of big swings for those adrenaline junkies out there!

Sitios de visita

Senderos ecológicos; usted podrá observar la flora nativa y endémica como; Guayabo de Galápagos (Psidium galapageium), pega-pega (Pisonia floribunda), Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), bosques siempre verdes de Scalecia pedunculata, Bromelia de Galápagos (Racinaea Tilandsia insularis), Chala (Croton scouleri), Matazarno(Piscidia cathagenensis),etc.

Laguna de aves; ambiente lacustre de agua dulce, donde se puede realizar avistamiento de aves, como Patillos(Anas bahamensis galapagensis), gallinulas (Gallinula chloropus cachinnans), etc.

Túneles de lava; fenómenos espeleológicos que explican la formación de las islas, se observan estalactitas de lava.
Cráter Arcoíris, hundimiento natural en el que habita, la flora rastrera y las diferentes especies de pinzones de Darwin.

Mirador; amplia vista panorámica que permite observar el perfil de la isla Santa Fe, Floreana e incluso San Cristóbal.

Trapiche
Mediante un método rustico se extrae jugo de caña de azúcar.
