Hostal Puerto Engabao -Surf Shelter

Hostal Puerto Engabao Surf Shelter is the only hostel in the vicinity run by surfers. The rooms are clean and all come with mosquito nets, cotton linens, and fans. There are some restaurants in the area, or if you would rather cook some fresh fish or shrimp bought directly from the local fisherman there is a communal kitchen/BBQ area. The common area has movies, WIFI, Netflix, book exchange, and hammocks and there is quite a bit of green stuff in the garden, as well as a friendly chicken population. Laundry service is provided for $5/load. Board rental and surf lessons are also available. Engabao is one of the most consistent waves in Ecuador, but when we experience a bigger swell we'll show you what Playas has to offer in terms of points and beach breaks. In Engabao you can surf the point (RH) or the beach breaks to the left of the point.
